Wilson’s interest in media production began during his time at the College of Sport Media, where he honed his skills in videography and editing. Known for its emphasis on hands-on experience and comprehensive training, the program provided Wilson with the foundational knowledge and practical expertise needed to thrive in a competitive industry.
It was here that he discovered his passion for capturing moments and weaving them into cohesive narratives. The college environment, with its blend of theoretical and real-world applications, allowed Wilson to experiment, learn, and grow as a creative professional.
After graduating, Wilson took his first professional steps into the industry as an editing assistant with Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MLSE). Working for one of Canada’s premier sports organizations gave him invaluable exposure to the fast-paced world of professional sports media.
At MLSE, Wilson was part of a team that produced content for some of the most iconic franchises in sports, including the Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Raptors, and Toronto FC. The experience solidified his technical skills and taught him the importance of working under pressure to deliver high-quality results.
In 2018, Wilson joined Space Monkey Media, a creative production house known for its innovative approach to sports and entertainment storytelling. The move marked a significant milestone in his career, as it allowed him to take on more creative responsibilities and fully immerse himself in the art of visual storytelling. As a videographer and editor, Wilson plays a critical role in the company’s success. His work involves everything from filming high-energy sports events to editing short documentaries and promotional features. His ability to seamlessly blend technical precision with creative vision has made him an invaluable member of the Space Monkey team.
Under the leadership of Space Monkey Media owner Clayton Hansler, Wilson has flourished in an environment that prioritizes innovation and collaboration.
